Artist printmaker investigater explorer tester in neverending research

My work is primarily woodcut, embrodery, ink, charcoal and photography on paper, materials that inspire me, that can whitstand some handling and that I can work myself into. Setting materials down in layers is the best way to find the expression I'm looking for.

I am captivated by the time things take. I do embroidery, I do woodcut, I repeat; as repeat actions, repeat patterns, repeat movements and repeat textures. My desire is to get close to the core and to make new traces. I am interested in imprints, like my mother’s embroidered pillows imprinting on my skin when I slept as a child. Or how my family and personal experiences have pyschologically imprinted on me.
